Sofia Lindström started as a crane operator and worked through berth planning before leading port operations. She has seen three generations of terminal software.
Did veteran planners resist the twin?
Some did. We invited our most experienced berth planner — Henrik, thirty-one years on the quay — to break the model. He found edge cases we had missed. Then he asked when he could use it for real. That endorsement mattered more than any executive mandate.
What surprised you after go-live?
How much time we spent before on meetings about data disagreements. Now the meeting starts with the same numbers on every screen. We talk about decisions, not definitions.
